Meet Gladys Calderon, leader of the student group.
Gladys Calderon has lived in Fort Wayne, IN for most of her life. Born in Nicaragua, she and her family moved from El Salvador to the U.S. when she was 7 years old. Since then, she knew one of her missions in this lifetime is to serve others, especially through the areas of education and well-being. She graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's in psychology and a master's in School Counseling.
She worked at Purdue University's TRIO Upward Bound program for over 5 years, helping students achieve their goal of being the first in their families to go to college. She is currently working for Waterford Research Institute, helping young children with their early literacy skills, and empowering their parents as their first teachers. Currently at Bienestar Sin Fronteras, she runs an empowerment teens group.
Gladys is passionate about learning, well-being, travel, yoga, Ayurveda.
